You may use any text editor to create and edit the file.
All Microsoft computers have the text editor called Notepad, 
accessible from the Start button on the desktop:

Start -> All Programs -> Accessories -> Notepad,


If you're working in the college,
save the file as yourname.txt in the local C:\temp folder
e.g. if your name is Anne Dawson, save the file as:

C:\temp\annedawson.txt

If you're working from home, save and name your file as you wish.
