Prerequisite - Math 12 or equivalent.

Visual Basic is a great language for easy creation of Windows programs,
and works well to create professional business applications...
it works by using objects like buttons and text boxes
which can be easily arranged on a window
and then programmed to perform the required tasks.

Screen design is an important component of this course.

At the end of the course (13 weeks by distance ed),
students will be working in teams to create sophisticated applications.
Assignments start small, then increase in size as you progress through the course.

Students are encouraged to collaborate with fellow course participants on course assignments.
At the end of the course, there is a team assignment, where teams are limited to 4 members.

You can ask questions at any time by email, or by live chat and skype during online office hours.
Assignments will include projects which will be of interest to business students,
and some examples will demonstrate common games techniques such as animations and simulations.

Example programs, sample quizzes and exams,
and solutions to exercises will be posted online on C4.

Students attend the college for quizzes and exams only.
