Rules of the MasterMind Game
The object of this game is to deduce the correct sequence
of four colours from a number of
guesses. If you click on the Allow Dups box, this means that a colour may be
replicated in the sequence.
At the start of a new game, the computer selects a sequence of
four colours which you have to determine. You select a colour by clicking on
the six-colour column. After selecting four colours, click on the Guess
button. The computer scores each
of your guesses as follows:
1. If you have a
correct colour in the correct position:
scores 1 in the left column (bold
font).
2. If you have a
correct colour but in an incorrect
position:
scores 1 in the right column (light font).
