CSCI165A - Lab 6 - XHTML


READ ALL BEFORE STARTING
This lab counts towards your participation score. 
To avoid losing participation points,
you should ensure that your XHTML file (completed or not) 
has been uploaded from your local C:\temp folder in Room 6,
to the college network folder: 
CSCI on Pineapple\Anne Dawson\CSCI165A\Week04\Lab6
by the end of today's class. 
Instructions on how to transfer your saved and closed XHTML file from your local C:\temp folder
to the college network folder can be found HERE.


Specification:

*** Today's assignment is an individual assignment. Each student works on their own XHTML file. ***

Continuing on from Lab 5...

You will be creating a web page (XHTML file) containing a number of features (see below) which are explained in the  
XHTML online tutorial.

Save your file as yourstudentnumber.html





You should make use of the tutorial search box to search for any features 
which are not listed in the topics list in the left hand frame of the tutorial pages.

Create a web page which includes:

1. a title: "Web page by [substitute your own name here]"
2. a large heading: "Web page by [substitute your own name here]"
3. a smaller heading: "CSCI165A Lab 3 HTML Assignment"
4. a paragraph describing your home town, followed by horizontal rule
5. a table showing all course you are currently taking, with a column for 
   institution (e.g. SFU, Coquitlam College), one for course code (e.g. CSCI165A),
   one for course description (e.g. Multimedia and The Internet), and one for instructor.
6. an ordered list of your favourite college subjects (math, science etc)
7. an unordered list of your hobbies
8. a comment at the top of the file, showing today's date 
9. preformatted text to write the following text, exactly as it appears here:

Today is Monday
  Tomorrow is Tuesday
Friday is a day off

10. a link to three of your favourite websites
11. a .jpg image of your choice

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

Add additional XHTML features to your web page - 
use every one of the tags shown in the list of tags on this page:

Ensure that the file contains zero validation errors for XHTML version 1.0 Strict.




 
You have until the end of today's class to complete as much as you can of this assignment and 
upload your file to the network folder.
