CSCI120 ASSESSED LABS
=====================
READ ALL CAREFULLY!
There are two assessed labs.
For in-class courses (CSCI120A),
the duration of Assessed Lab #1 and Assessed Lab #2 is 90 minutes.
For distance education courses (CSCI120D),
the duration of Assessed Lab #1 is 45 minutes,
and is taken immediately after the midterm exam.
The duration of Assessed Lab #2 is 90 minutes,
and is taken immediately after the final exam.
Assessed labs are each worth 5% of the final grade.
*** Students must bring their student cards
for inspection before any quiz, lab or exam ***
Assessed labs take place in the college
during regular class time. The exact date and time will be announced on C4.
In each assessed lab, the student will be asked to write a Python program to solve a problem
that could be reasonably solved in the allotted time.
Assessed labs are closed-book and closed-notes
but you may use the online resources
provided by the instructor on the college network.
Use of the Internet is not permitted in Assessed Labs.
You are NOT allowed to communicate with other individuals by any means,
electronic or otherwise.
Academic HonestyThe use of any personal electronic equipment is strictly forbidden.
The lab specification (instructions) will include the marking scheme.

In tests and exams,
you should not have any contact with any pre-prepared materials
(unless you're specifically allowed to do so in that exam)
or other people (except the people proctoring the exam).
If this is a surprise to you,
you should probably withdraw from the University.

Thanks to Greg Baker, SFU Computer Science, for these words.
