READ ALL OF THESE INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE STARTING

When you've completed DS3, you will be able to
* Create formulas that use absolute, mixed and relative references.
* Use statistical functions.
* Create and use IF functions.
* Use detection features to assist with creating accurate formulas.
For DS3 you will be working from a supplied booklet, which you may keep.
You will be using data files (TIN1.xls etc) which, for your convenience,
have been stored on the network folder for the current week (Week06),
in the folder named "Chapter 04".
Work through the booklet from start to end,
read up to each section entitled TIN - Try It Now,
and follow the instructions.
Please note: some of the last exercises in the booklet will not work
on the version of Microsoft Excel installed in the college.
If you have the latest version of Excel at home,
you will be able to use these features.
Save all your work in one Excel workbook named yourstudentnumber.xls
(to your local C:\temp folder).

Save the different tasks under separate sheets in your workbook,
with appropriate worksheet labels, TIN1, TIN2 etc.

Complete as much as you can.
Upload your file to the C4 system by 4pm today.
If for any reason you cannot upload to the C4 system:
Upload your file to the network folder:
Week06\DS3
before the end of today's class.
At 4pm precisely, that folder will be closed.

BRING THE SUPPLIED BOOKLET TO CLASS ON TUESDAY 23rd OCTOBER (Week 7 Class 1) -
You will need it to help you complete your first assessed lab - DS4...
and there are NO spare copies!
